These photos are all from gardens in summer-dry climates, those with typically wet winters and dry summers to encourage
low water use, water-wise, drought tolerant, and sustainable garden practices in summer-dry Mediterranean climates where water is precious.
While many of these plants are hardy, do well, and are important parts of many garden styles in many climates all over the world, the summer-dry aesthetic is distinctive and these plants may not grow the same elsewhere.
