The Denver Botanic Garden is spectacular on many levels. In the heart of a major urban center it manages to both serve the needs of residents who want a beautiful respite, as well as educating the serious horticulturalist who wants to learn about plants of the world and how to use appropriate ones in local gardens.
Of special interest are the grasses and meadows, using many native plants to evoke native prairies, and the Steppe Garden using garden worthy plant from Steppes of the world.
